Where is the point on a curved monitor for a DAW?:man_shrugging:

I guess it’s in the price? :stuck_out_tongue: tbh this was the one that had the best specs as it’s on offer.

Hey @Geoffers super reliable components shop with a summer offer. Check it out.

Maybe for the same price you’ll find a better monitor.

Yes I’ve been looking at a few brands. I’m still unsure what to get at the moment as if quite like a widescreen. I think this is the route I’ll go down.

Thank you all I ended up getting a curved ultra wide screen. The old screen died a week ago and I thought,” let’s just go for it.

Used it for a day and here’s my verdict so far. The curve is definitely worth it. It’s much more immersive and your eye follows the screen much more easily. This seems to help combat fatigue for working very long hours (at least yesterday it did).

In terms for getting the ultra wide - that 40% extra length really helps with the Midi window and the mix window. I don’t think I’d go back to a regular screen now.

Thank you everyone for this discussion. I wouldn’t have come to this conclusion or thought much about it if some of yu hadn’t challenged my initial reasoning.
