This is my proposed solution for “The Lost Piano,” a Cue Tube film scoring challenge.
This is a wonderful short film created by Rob Hill at Westwood Instruments, starring Dennis Gerald.
An old upright piano (in fairly good condition) is a central character in this film. It has been abandoned in a partly demolished apartment building. It’s still playable.
I mixed two pianos (Blue from Cinesamples and Ragtime from the Kurzweil PC2R) to create a slightly out-of-tune upright.
