What’s your opinion about sample catalogues like sounds.com, splice, noiiz, others?
I’ve got a splice subscription and it’s actually quite helpful when making electronic music, I do get lots of ideas just by listening to some random loops/samples, and it’s easy to find some good new percussion sounds fast, but it’s quite limited for pretty much anything else.
I’d personally rather use a catalogue with acoustic instruments, cinematic stuff like hits, and clean vocals instead of synthesizer sounds, drum samples and very heavily processed vocals.
Does such a site even exist? Have you noticed any major differences between platforms or are they just clones of each other?
