My first attempt at scoring a video

I’ve never tried composing music for a video before, but I’ve had a few minutes each day over the last two weeks, and so decided to give it a try. Fun and intimidating and frustrating, but I finished it!

Genre/Style:
This is the 2022 Score Relief video- Sprite Fright. A 3 minute video with a bit of comedy, horror, and adventure.

Creative Vision for the Track:
Try to capture and enhance the action and emotions portrayed in the video, in the classic orchestral style of many of today’s action movies.

Composition Details (Tempo, Key, Main Chords etc):
There really isn’t one key, but I think Gmaj is the most common.

Main Instruments used:
I only used Cinesymphony Lite, as that’s the only orchestral library I have.
Strings, Pizzicato Strings, Brass, French Horns, Winds, Percussion

I’m open to any and all constructive comments. Thanks for watching/listening!

hi - I think you did a really good job with this and you kept the music in its place - below the dialogue! So many people mix the music far too loud. Dialogue is king always. Well done.

Thank you so much for listening!

Wonderful work Steven! I’m working on scoring my first short film and can only hope to have such results!
